Research group Prof. Klagge - Economic Geographie

The research group of economic geography is interested in the changes, interactions, and influencing factors of economic and social processes from a spatial perspective. This involves not only location patterns and regional disparities, but also and above all:

• Actors and institutions and how they (re)produce spatial structures (actor-oriented and institutional perspectives)
• The role of space in economic and social interactions (relational perspective)
• The relationships between different scales (governance and multi-level perspective)
• Social-ecological transformations and their embedding in economic and political contexts (human-environment perspective)
