BWN’s contribution focused on the manifold impacts of climate change on water in the city. Moderated by Annabelle Houdret (DIE, speaker of the network), the panel focuses on concrete examples of, and lessons learned from, water action to strengthen resilience. Contributions included examples from Ecuador (Diego Jara, IUCN), Colombia (Abby Ortega, ZEF), insights from a large comparative study (Simone Sandholz, UNU) and strategies to address impacts on drinking water (Thomas Kistemann, IHPH). A GWOPA video on peer-to-peer-learning between water operators and closing remarks by Kobie Brand (ICLEI Deputy Secretary-General and Director of the Cities Biodiversity Center) completed the event.
