“Intercultural Competence”

What does it take to achieve intercultural competence? Where do I stand when it comes to bias awareness? In this workshop, we will focus on reflection and self-awareness of our own intercultural competence and how to deal with cognitive biases. We will look at various models and theories and use examples, practical exercises and experiments to examine the extent to which these apply to the individual and what options for action are available. Together we will develop strategies to expand our own intercultural competence and deepen our awareness of our own biases.
No prior knowledge is required for participation.

Students completing the seminar are credited 20 points toward the D1 component for the Certificate of Intercultural Competency.
