The citation guidelines for the Institute of Geography have been updated. The most significant innovation is certainly that the guidelines are now available in both German and English. In addition, citation styles have been created for reference managers and can now be used directly in the respective programs.
Programs such as Zotero and Citavi make it much easier to manage literature sources. They help you to insert citations directly into your texts and automatically create a complete bibliography in the desired citation style.
Of course, using a citation manager is no substitute for checking your work, but it saves time when creating and formatting references, reduces errors and ensures consistent formatting.
The new citation style can be integrated directly into Citavi, Zotero and other citation managers with CSL support. You can find the required files on the GIUB website under Formalities1.
The exact installation depends on the respective citation manager. For Zotero (version 7.0 or higher), simply double-click to open the CSL file with Zotero. For Citavi (version 7.0 or higher), you must move the downloaded CCS file to the folder "Documents\Citavi 7\Custom Citation Styles".
