Angela Last1, Alexander-von-Humboldt-Fellow2 in the RG Cultural Geographie since 2024, has published an article that deals with the tension between creative methods in human geography research and the economic framework conditions. 

Under the title ‘The “creative thesis” in the academic “anxiety machine”’, the article outlines the publication and funding pressures that can stand in the way of more creative research and concludes by pointing out ways to support doctoral students in particular.
