The purpose of the training activities was to assist the interviewers to better understand the key components of surveys, clarify ethical issues, and pretest and better handle the survey tools. The Flood Competence Centre (HKC) and the Water Resources Commission (WRC) have conducted a one-day training for the interviewers in Accra, Kumasi, and Bolgatanga in March and April. In total, eight members of staff from the WRC participated in the training.
After training the interviewers, the main surveys have already started in the three case study areas: Odaw catchment- Accra, Aboabo catchment- Kumasi, and the White Volta catchment.
As part of the PARADeS project, this survey covers key areas such as risk awareness, building structure, and flood prevention.
We are particularly grateful for the great support and collaboration of WRC for the planning and implementation of the survey.
