From 27.06. to 1.07.22, a 16-member delegation visited the Geographical Institute of the University of Bonn (GIUB) as part of the BMBF PARADeS project. Among them was the President and other staff of the National Disaster Management Authority of Ghana, NADMO as well as colleagues from the Water Resources Commission (WRC) and the West African Science Service Centre on Climate Change and Adapted Land Use (WASCAL).
The program included a project workshop, a workshop with representatives of the Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (BBK) on integrated risk management, a field trip to Bonn and Cologne on flood protection measures, and an appointment with the BBK's in-house management.
